An unexpected or life-changing disability can have a serious impact on you and your family. To cover this, Woolworths provides you with a Disability Benefit via a separate insurance policy. This is an income replacement benefit for those members who are unable to continue doing their jobs as a result of serious illness or an accident.

If you become disabled, you will first have to have extensive medical tests. If the insurance company agrees that you are unable to do your job, you will be then paid 75% of your TCOE until your death, until you recover or until your retirement (whichever comes first).

Both you and your employer will continue to contribute to your retirement fund.
